The Judicial Training, Research and Information Academy of Mongolia, in cooperation with the Judicial Research and Training Institute (JRTI) of the Republic of Korea, successfully conducted the second-year in-country training program titled “Capacity Building for Digitalization of Judicial Activities, and etc. in Mongolia” from September 28 to October 2, 2026.

The training was conducted with funding from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), within the framework of a MoU signed between the two institutions. The program aimed to assess the current state of judicial digitalization in Mongolia and identify opportunities for further development.

During the training, participants exchanged experiences on the operations of the South Korean judiciary, judicial training and research, virtual court hearings, and digital judicial proceedings. Judges from both countries openly shared their perspectives and discussed opportunities to advance digital transformation within Mongolia’s judicial system.

The Republic of Korea has been implementing digital judicial systems since 1996. During the program, Korean experts shared their experience in civil litigation, electronic court systems, judicial decision drafting, and case search and allocation systems.

They also introduced digital services that allow citizens to submit and access case related documents remotely without having to visit court premises, as well as the use of artificial intelligence in judicial operations. The experts provided practical insights, answered participants’ questions, and facilitated the exchange of knowledge and experience between the two countries.
