Advanced training on intellectual property adjudication for judges concludes successfully

The Judicial Training, Research and Information Academy, in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), organized an Workshop on intellectual property adjudication for the judiciary of Mongolia. A total of 28 judges specializing in intellectual property from courts of all levels participated in the two-day intensive training and received their certificates of completion.

The workshop focused on the current state of intellectual property disputes in Mongolia and explored international methodologies and practices for resolving trademark and copyright disputes within the digital market and online environment. Additionally, participants conducted in-depth analyses of civil and criminal enforcement mechanisms in trademark and copyright cases, international case studies, and methodologies for damages assessment.

The sessions were delivered by Justice Ts. Tsogt of the Chamber for Administrative Cases of the Supreme Court of Mongolia; D. Erdenechimeg, Director of the Judicial Academy; Judges Z. Ganzorig and A. Sarangerel of the Administrative Court of Appeals; and B. Odgerel, Senior Patent Examiner at the Intellectual Property Office of Mongolia. International perspectives were presented by Ms. Min Eun-Joo, Director of the WIPO Judicial Institute; Judge Young Gi Kim of the Patent Court of Korea; and Judge Yu Huibin of the Beijing High People's Court of the People's Republic of China.
