Training on “Judicial Engagement with the Media” Launched

The Judicial Training, Research and Information Academy has launched a training program titled “Judicial Engagement with the Media” within the framework of the project “Judicial Engagement and Transparency.” (2024–2026). The project is funded by the European Union and implemented in cooperation with the International Development Law Organization (IDLO) and the Twinning Program.

The four-day training is being held from February 3–6, 2026, and brings together Chief Judges of the courts and court public relations specialists.
The opening ceremony was attended by Adrien Mourgues, Head of Cooperation Team, Delegation of the European Union to Mongolia; Charles Bolland, Country Manager of IDLO Mongolia; and Christoph Kopecky, Resident Twinning Advisor.

On this occasion, D. Erdenechimeg, Director of the Judicial Training, Research and Information Academy, said:
“One of the core functions of the Judicial Academy is to strengthen public trust in the judiciary. This training aims to further develop the transparency of judicial institutions and enhance communication with the media in line with international best practices. In this context, we express our sincere appreciation to the European Union, the International Development Law Organization (IDLO), and the Twinning Project team for their meaningful support and cooperation in inviting experienced judicial experts from Germany to share international best practices.”

The training is being delivered by Dr. Marc Petit, Member of the Constitutional Court of Schleswig-Holstein and Presiding Judge of the District Court of Lübeck, and Dr. Laurent Lafleur, Head of the Information Office of the Higher Regional Court of Munich, Federal Republic of Germany.
