THE HEAD OF CHAMBER FOR CRIMINAL CASES, SUPREME COURT OF MONGOLIA KHOSBAYAR.CH AND LEGAL REPRESENTATIVES PAID VISITS TO CITIES OF BRUSSELS, LUXEMBOURG AND HAGUE
2024-04-06 АдминAs part of the Hanns-Seidel Foundation's legal program, Ch.Khosbayar, head of the Chamber for Criminal Cases of the Supreme Court of Mongolia, Z.Yanjinlkham, researcher at the Judicial Training, Research and Information Institute, Kh.Erdem-Undrakh, director of the National Legal Institute, M.Chinbat, Deputy Prosecutor General of Mongolia, and B.Enkhbold, member of the Human Rights Commission of Mongolia paid visit to Brussels, The Hague, and Luxembourg between March 17 and March 23, 2024. During the visit, the delegations visited the International Criminal Court, the International Court of Justice, and other institutions of the European Union.
The delegations engaged in high- level meeting with Mr Tomáš Zdechovský, Member of the European Parliament, the Chair of the Delegation to the EU-Kazakhstan, EU-Kyrgyzstan, EU-Uzbekistan and EU-Tajikistan Parliamentary Cooperation Committees and for relations with Turkmenistan and Mongolia, and Member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs. Additionally, they met with officials from the European External Action Service and Directorate General for International Partnerships of European Commission. During the meetings, representatives gained insight and exchanged their views on EU’s “Global Gate” program, as well as other reforms within the justice sector.
In the course of the meeting with Liaison office of the Council of Europe with the EU in Brussels, parties discussed on the Mongolia’s potential accession to the EU conventions on Mutual Legal Assistance and the Budapest Convention. Furthermore, representatives from the delegations attended an event titled “Supporting Young Women’s Leadership” organized by the Brussels Office of the Hanns-Seidel Foundation.
