The representatives led by justices of the Supreme Court of Mongolia, M. Batsuuri and D. Batbaatar, held a meeting and participated in the signing of the cooperation agreement with Marco Aleman, Deputy Director of the Judicial Institute of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), while working in Geneva, Switzerland, on November 14-17, 2023.

The Judicial Training, Research and Information Institute of Mongolia and the Judicial Institute of WIPO have agreed to cooperate in the areas of imparting knowledge of intellectual property to judges of Mongolia, improving the capacity of judges, and uploading judgments related to intellectual property to the database of WIPO.

The WIPO Judicial Institute collaborates closely with the relevant judicial institutions in member countries to establish essential conditions for a balanced and efficient intellectual property, innovation, and creative ecosystem. This involves providing tailored support aligned with the legal system characteristics of each country. The institute plays a pivotal role in organizing the annual "Judges' Forum" event, conducting research on national judicial systems and decisions pertaining to intellectual property.

Additionally, the institute is responsible for managing and facilitating access to the WIPO Legal Database, focusing on making it available to member countries and regions. Recognizing the importance of local engagement, the institute collaborates with similar organizations in judicial administration at the local level. Its efforts extend to strengthening the cooperation of the institute with a view to enhancing the overall effectiveness of intellectual property, innovation, and creative frameworks in its member countries.
