A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WAS ESTABLISHED WITH THE JUDICIAL ACADEMY OF REPUBLIC OF TURKEY

   On November 13, 2023, the Judicial Training, Research and Information Institute of Mongolia signed a memorandum of understanding with the Judicial Academy of the Republic of Turkey.

   Within the framework of the memorandum, the parties have mutually agreed to collaborate by organizing both in-person and online training sessions for judges, conducting joint research initiatives, and arranging international conferences and discussions. Justices of the Supreme Court of Mongolia, M. Batsuuri and D. Batbaatar, along with the director of the institute, D. Erdenechimeg, visited the premises of the Judicial Academy in Ankara. A bilateral meeting was conducted during which the parties signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance their cooperation. Justice M. Batsuuri expressed confidence that this memorandum will elevate judicial relations and cooperation between the two sides to a new level, constituting a significant intellectual investment for Mongolian judges.

   The Judicial Academy of the Republic of Turkey, established in 2003, plays a pivotal role in facilitating comprehensive training for various legal professionals. Its responsibilities encompass organizing training programs for judges, prosecutors, judicial candidates, lawyers, and advocates. Notably, the Academy is actively engaged in international collaboration, having established partnerships with judicial institutes in 72 foreign countries. This commitment to global cooperation is underscored by the fact that the Academy has formalized official cooperation agreements with 47 such institutes, further emphasizing its dedication to fostering a robust and interconnected legal community.
