Ulaanbaatar, March 3, 2026 – The Judicial Training, Research and Information Academy, together with the EU-funded Twinning project "Effective Implementation of Judicial Reforms in Mongolia," is organizing a specialized workshop today titled "Enhancing the Induction and Professional Training Program for Newly Appointed First-Instance Court Judges."

The event was inaugurated by Mr. Christoph Kopecky, Resident Twinning Advisor. The training is being led by international experts from Germany: Mr. Christian Happe, President (Director) of the Local Court of Oberhausen, North Rhine-Westphalia, and Ms. Elisabeth Hartung, Advisor at the Ministry of Justice of North Rhine-Westphalia.
The workshop aims to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the quality, effectiveness, and practical significance of the current induction training programs. By identifying strengths, weaknesses, and potential gaps in stakeholder expectations, the session focuses on refining judicial training methodologies to meet international standards.
Participants include judge-trainers from the Academy, Chief Judges, and representatives of newly appointed judges from first-instance courts. This initiative marks a significant step toward the continuous professional development of the Mongolian judiciary within the framework of the ongoing judicial reforms.
