JUDGES ATTEND TRAINING IN THE REPUBLIC OF TURKEY

   From June 9-13, 2024, a second training session was held in Istanbul, Turkey, under the memorandum of understanding between the Judicial Training, Research, and Information Center of Mongolia and the Turkish Judiciary academy. A total of 28 judges from Mongolia participated in this international seminar focused on combating cybercrime.

   The training session was inaugurated with opening remarks by D. Erdenechimeg, director of the Judicial Training, Research, and Information Center, and Hasan Kadir Yilmaztekin, head of the foreign relations department at the Turkish Judiciary Academy.

   Throughout the seminar, participants engaged in a comprehensive exploration of critical topics, including:

combating cybercrime within the framework of international law

current cybercrime and information system security

digital evidence and investigation of cybercrimes

preventing money laundering and financing of terrorism these sessions were led by experienced judges, prosecutors, and judicial training instructors from turkey, providing valuable insights into the latest challenges and strategies in the fight against cybercrime.

In addition to the training, the Mongolian judges visited the Istanbul courthouse, where they had the opportunity to observe and learn from best practices in the Turkish judicial system.
