TRAINING ON "IMPLEMENTATION OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS" WAS HELD

   Ahead of the World Intellectual Property Day which is celebrated every 26th of April, Judicial Training, Research and Information Institute co-organized a training on “Implementation of Intellectual Property Rights” with the Intellectual Property Office of Mongolia, United States Patent and Trademark Office and the US Embassy in Mongolia on 23 April 2024.  

   Mr. Michael Richmond, Senior Trade Specialist of the US Embassy, D. Erdenechimeg, Doctor of Law, Associate Professor, and Director of the Judicial Training, Research, and Information Institute, Edward Chen, Judge of the Northern District Court of California, USA, and Eastern New York State District Court Judge Peggy Kuo, alongside James C. Yun, Counsel at the US Department of Justice International Computer Hacker, and Mark Abumery, from the US Patent and Trademark Office International Relations and Policy Office delivered opening remarks for the training.

   The training sessions were led by judges and experts from the United States covering topics such as “Calculating Damages and Loss Amounts in Intellectual Property Cases", "Intellectual Property and Artificial Intelligence," "Theft of Trade Secrets," and “Seizure and Forfeiture in Intellectual Property Cases".
