As part of an official visit to the Benelux countries, a delegation led by Mr. D. Ganzorig, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Mongolia, visited The Hague, Kingdom of the Netherlands, on March 13, 2025. During the visit, the delegation met with Dr. Christophe Paulussen, Director of Academic Programmes, and Dr. Casper Wouters Vrolijk, Member of the Executive Board of the T.M.C. Asser Institute, a renowned center for international and European legal research.

At the meeting, Ms. D. Erdenechimeg, Director of the Judicial Training, Research and Information Academy of Mongolia, and Dr. Christophe Paulussen, Director of Training at the Asser Institute, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish bilateral cooperation.

Under the Memorandum, the two institutions agreed to jointly organize symposia, colloquia, conferences, consultations, training sessions, research projects, and seminars. The cooperation also includes study visits to judicial institutions to gain insight into each country's judicial systems, exchange of experts and training professionals, and the joint development of training programs.

As the first step in this collaboration, Professor Ton Liefaard of Leiden University will participate as a keynote speaker at an international conference to be held in Mongolia in June 2025.
